Apply to at least three schools.
Indicate your preferred school on the platform.
Upload all supporting documents to the platform.

What You Need:

Birth certificate / Passport of your child.
Proof of application on the WCED online platform.
Clinic card with the relevant immunisations.
Identity documents for both parents.
Formal adoption documents (Court approved).
Most recent academic report.

Proof Of Address

Certified copy of a recent municipal account.
If living with a relative: homeowner must provide a certified copy of their ID, an SAPS affidavit confirming that the family, including the child, resides at the property, and a municipal account as proof of address.
Certified copy of a legal rental agreement (minimum one year and including part of 2028).

Important Information

Schools may not charge any fee before accepting a learner.

Admission Policy Summary

A learner may be considered for admission to Monte Vista Primary School if one or more of the following criteria apply:

The learner lives within the school's designated feeder area, as outlined in the school's Admission Policy.
The learner resides with a parent or legal guardian who owns a property within the feeder area.
The learner resides with a parent or legal guardian who legally rents or leases a property within the feeder area.
Learners currently enrolled in Grade R at Monte Vista Primary School do not need to reapply for Grade 1 and will automatically progress, provided they meet the required academic standards.
Preference may be given to learners who have a brother or sister currently attending Monte Vista Primary School during the year of admission.
Preference may be given to learners whose parent or legal guardian is employed by the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) or the School Governing Body (SGB), and works at Monte Vista Primary School.
As part of the admissions process, parents should generally apply to the public school closest to their home before applying to a school outside their immediate area.

Please note that meeting one or more of the above criteria does not guarantee admission. All applications are subject to the school's available space and capacity for the relevant grade.
